November & December Events
Nov. 26th Annual Club Business Meeting 7:00 p.m. via Zoom
The club will be voting on two things at the business meeting:
1. The membership will vote on the 2025 officers via Zoom (list of candidates and the connection info in November newsletter). A quorum of 12 members is required to vote on the officers.
2. The Board recommends approval by the membership of the Amendments to the FFK Bylaws.
Nov. 24 CBT "A Christmas Carol" at 2:00 p.m.
Eighteen of us will be attending at Clarence Brown Theatre the production of Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” Sunday, November 24 at 2pm. After the performance, most will be going out to eat. I anticipate it will be entertaining and joyous.
Dec. 10 Holiday Dinner Party at 5:30 p.m.
Next, the date of our HOLIDAY DINNER PARTY is Tuesday, December 10, at 5:30 pm at Holly’s Gourmet’s Market, 5107 Kingston Pike. Thirty-four fun loving members and guests have made reservations. It will be a smashing good time for all! Ho, ho, ho!

Dinner to be served at 6:00 p.m.

The menu for dinner is soup and salad. Beverages, cornbread, bread and dessert are to be furnished by the club. All are welcome!

July 23 -- FFK member and acclaimed lecturer, Mike McDonough, will be our July program presenter. Mike is actually writing a book about the life and times of Henry Knox for whom Knoxville is named. He and his trusty traveling companion, Jayne, have taken a 19-day road trip to visit eight locations on the East Coast with connections to Henry Knox.

June 25th Meeting - Poolside Seafood Dinner Party!
RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED for DINNER
Date: Tuesday, June 25 (Those with mobility issues may park in the driveway, otherwise, please park on the street.)
Time: 5:30 pm (If you want to swim before dinner, you may come earlier! 🏊)

Art and Marsha Mitchell are hosting the June meeting beside their pool. The Shrimp Dock chefs will prepare a Seafood Boil with shrimp, mussels, potatoes and corn, and andouille sausage prepared and served separately compliments of the Mitchells. Some beer and wine will be available, but feel free to BYOB.
After dinner Art and Marsha will briefly report on their trip to Uzbekistan where they were escorted around the country by the judge who had come to Knoxville during our Open World program in October 2022 and stayed in their home.

April 23 at TVUUC: Learn about Bridge Refugee Services - a local non-profit agency that has been providing opportunities since 1982 for refugees to rebuild their lives after suffering persecution and to become productive members of our community.

March 26 in Dandridge, TN: It's time once again to meet somewhere besides Knoxville and enjoy the beauty, flavors and history of a nearby locality. Among the many options in our area, historic Dandridge, TN is one of the very best.
